RMH-LI Walk of Love Spreads Across Long Island
Simultaneous walks to be held in Nassau and Suffolk Counties
April 2015 (New Hyde Park, NY) – The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island’s (RMH-LI) annual Walk of Love presented by Walgreens will be held in both Nassau and Suffolk counties on Saturday, May 9th. Both walks will begin at 9 a.m. at Old Westbury Gardens in Nassau County and the Suffolk County Farm in Suffolk County. All proceeds will benefit the programs and services RMH-LI provides to families of seriously ill children.The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. Post-walk family fun and entertainment will follow with activities including an appearance by Ronald McDonald, carnival games, complimentary BBQ expertly prepared by Pit Masters, live DJ, face painting, and more! This is a rain or shine event.
Walkers and fundraisers comprised of local businesses, schools, families, and RMH-LI resident families raised over $175,000 at last year’s walk, and over 1,000 walkers participated between the two locations.

Registration fees are as follows: $25 (pre-registration); $15 (children under 12); $30 (day-of registration). Registration includes an event t-shirt, entertainment, refreshments, finish line medal and finish line celebration.
