We Take Care of Families, So They Can Take Care of Their Children

Steps away from the hospital and their children’s bedsides, the 42-bedroom Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park provides the comforts of a home and compassionate care that meet the unique needs of families with sick children.

With access to top hospitals and doctors, families can stay nearby and involved in their children’s care.

Ronald McDonald House features:

  • Parents need to be both mentally and physically strong as they battle their child’s illness. The fitness room helps them do both.
  • For parents, laundry is more than an everyday need. In our laundry room, families connect, catch up, and take solace in basic day-to-day activities.
  • Sometimes, the best treatment is the ability to just be a kid. Our playrooms and toys give sick children a break from the hospital’s poking and prodding.
  • There are never too many chefs in the kitchen here! Families and volunteers cook together, wind down, and regain strength after long days at the hospital.
